The death took place suddenly, on Tuesday, of this week, of Abner Louis Wagner at his home in the Social Plains district. Deceased has just finished eating his breakfast when he was suddenly seized with an acute pain. He was assisted to a bed but expired almost immediately. The funeral was held to-day. Interment taking place in the Empress cemetery.

This district suffered the loss of one it's first settlers, last week by the death of Mr. A. L. Wagner. Mr. Wagner was highly esteemed by his friends and neighbors, not only on account of his extraordinary energy and his progressiveness, but on account of his jovial and agreeable disposition.
